The 5P9000 Lock Assembly, used in various doorgroups, fails. The stop pin, which limits handle rotation, falls out. Anew latch plate, with a retaining ring, prevents the stop pin from fallingout.AFFECTED PRODUCT

Locate subject locks in doors using Illustration#1, Illustration #2 and Illustration #3.
Remove the nut that fastens the former 1113691Plate to 5P9000 Lock. Save the nut for reuse.
Remove the former 1113691 Plate and install anew 2047782 Plate Assembly. See Illustration #4.
Install the nut removed in Step 2. Tighten nutto 3.4 + or ? 0.6 N m.
