Position rear case (4) onto front case (17). Apply Tooling (B) to the threads of bolts (16). Tighten bolts (16) to a torque of 120 2 N m (88 2 lb ft).

Press shaft bushing (15) onto shaft (11) .

Install shaft (11) .
Install O-ring seal (13) .

The brake discs and plates (12) must be installed to a dimension of 28.2 0.10 mm (1.11 0.004 inch). This dimension is shown in the graphic above as Dimension (X). Use shims (14) in order to obtain Dimension (X) .

Install brake discs and plates (12) onto shaft (11) .

Install seal (10) in brake housing (3) .

Position brake housing (3) onto the rear case.
Apply Tooling (B) to the threads of bolts (9). Tighten bolts (9) to a torque of 73 3 N m (53 2 lb ft).

Install O-ring seal (8) onto brake piston (6) .

Thread Tooling (A) into hole (7) and position brake piston (6) into the brake housing.

Install spring washer (5) .

Install the gasket for the end cover. Position end cover (2) onto the brake housing (3) .
Align brake housing (3) with rear case (4) .
Tighten bolts (1) to a torque of 15 1 N m (11 1 lb ft).End By: Install the piston motor. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Piston Motor (Wheel Propel) - Install".
