Steering Frame Lock in the STORED Position (1) Steering frame lock.To check the steering time, park the machine on a hard, dry surface. Move the steering frame lock to the STORED position. Operate the engine at high idle. The time for a full turn from one stop to the other stop should not be more than 2.7 .5 seconds. The steering time at low idle should not be more than 5.7 .5 seconds.The difference between the time for a right turn and the time for a left turn must not be more than .3 second. With the parking brake engaged, the steering time must not increase by more than .2 second.
