Information:

Start by:a. Install steering frame lock link.1. Stop the machine so that the bucket is positioned flat on the ground. 2. Remove nut (1), washers and bolt (2) that hold the tilt link pin and collet assemblies.3. Attach a suitable lifting strap and hoist to tilt link (3). Use tooling (A) to remove the collets from both sides of the link pin assembly. Refer to Remove Pins and Collets in this module.4. Remove the tilt link pin. The weight of the tilt link pin is 23 kg (51 lb). 5. Remove bolt (4), washers and nut from the tilt lever collet assemblies.6. Use tooling (A) to remove collets (5) from both sides of the tilt lever assembly. Refer to Remove Pins and Collets in this module.7. Remove the tilt lever pin. The weight of the tilt lever pin is 23 kg (51 lb).8. Remove the tilt link from the machine. The weight of the tilt link is 120 kg (264 lb). 9. Remove lip seals (6) from both sides of the tilt link. Repeat this step for the other end of the tilt link.10. Remove bearing (7) from the tilt link. Repeat this step for the other end of the tilt link.Install Tilt Link
1. Install bearings (1) in both ends of the tilt link. Make sure that the bearings are centered in the bores.2. Use tooling (A) to install lip seals (2) on both sides of bearings (1) in each end of the tilt link. 3. Attach a suitable lifting strap and hoist to tilt link (3). Put the tilt link in position between the bucket and the tilt lever. The weight of the tilt link is 120 kg (264 lb).4. Put 5P-0960 Lubricant in the pin bore and install the pin in the tilt lever end of the tilt link. The weight of the tilt lever pin is 23 kg (51 lb).5. Install collet assemblies (4).6. Put 5P-3931 Anti-Seize Compound on the thread of the bolt that holds the collet assemblies to the pin assembly. Install bolt (5) with the washers and nut in the collet assemblies. The collet on one side must not extend farther than the other collet when the bolts are tight.7. Tighten the bolt and nut that hold the collet assemblies to the pin assembly as follows:a. Tighten bolt (5) and the nut evenly to a torque of 1800 200 N m (1330 150 lb ft). After the bolt and nut are tight, hit the collet on each side with a heavy hammer until the torque on the bolt and nut is less than 950 N m (700 lb ft).b. Tighten bolt (5) and the nut again to a torque of 1800 200 N m (1330 150 lb ft). Hit each collet again until the torque for the bolt and nut is less than 1600 N m (1180 lb ft).c. Tighten the bolt and nut to a final torque of 1800 200 N m (1330 150 lb
