Support cover plate (1) while removing four bolts and washers that secure each corner of the cover plate. Remove the cover plate from the machine.
There are four fittings that must be lubricated for the powered stairway. Wipe off the fittings before any lubricant is applied.

(2) Shaft bearing lubrication fittings
(3) Hydraulic cylinder pin lubrication fittings
Lubricate two fittings (2) for the shaft bearings.
Lubricate two fittings (3) for the hydraulic cylinder pins.
Install the cover plate and secure with the four bolts and washers.
Removing the retaining pin that was installed to lock the powered stairway in the fully raised position before resuming operation.
