Item Qty Part Specification Description
1 4 375-2467 Flange Locknut Use the following procedure in order to mount the turbocharger:
1. Loosen the nuts of compressor clamp assembly and band clamp enough to allow housing to rotate.
Excessive loosening of the housings will cause contact. Possible damage to the wheel may occur.
2. Before assembly, lubricate the threads and the bearing surfaces with Loctite C5A Copper Anti-Seize.
3. Mount the gasket (3) over the studs in the exhaust manifold.
4. Mount the turbocharger onto the exhaust manifold.
5. Tighten the flange locknuts to 70 5 N m (52 4 lb ft).
4 1 239-5858 Compressor Clamp Assembly Use the following procedure in order to tighten the compressor clamp and band clamp assembly:
1. Place the bearing housing (8) with the oil supply (6) and the oil drain (9) in the vertical position with respect to the engine as shown in the Illustration 2.
2. Position the compressor clamp (4) so that the threaded rod points downward on the outboard side of the turbocharger as shown in the Illustration 2.
3. Tighten the band clamp (5) on the 385-3580 Turbine Housing As (7) enough to prevent the bearing housing (8) from rotating.
4. Position the air outlet (2) of the compressor at 42 degrees (A) from the vertical (A). Position the air outlet (2) of the compressor on the side that is away from the engine as shown in the Illustration 1.
5. Tighten the compressor clamp (4) enough to prevent the compressor from rotating.
6. Tighten the nuts of both clamps to 13.6 1.2 N m (120.4 10.6 lb in).
7. Gently tap both clamps around the circumference of the clamps.
8. Again, tighten the nuts of both clamps to 13.6 1.2 N m (120.4 10.6 lb in).
