REPLACE RETAINING BOLTS FOR SUSPENSION CYLINDER BOTTOM PINS ON CERTAIN D250B AND D300B ARTICULATED DUMP TRUCKS, 7201 PI1072 U-5 A-2 O-2 safety
Problem
The bolts which hold the bottom pins for the suspension cylinders in place may loosen during operation and permit the pins to come out of their mounting brackets.

FOR U.S. AND CANADIAN OWNERS XYZ Corporation 3240 Arrow Drive Anywhere, YZ 99999 SAFETY - Suspension Cylinder Bottom Pins May Loosen MODELS INVOLVED - D250B, D300B Articulated Dump Trucks Dear Caterpillar Product Owner: The bolts, which hold the bottom pins for the suspension cylinders in place, may loosen during operation and permit the pins to come out of their mounting brackets. If the suspension cylinder comes loose, it can cause the frame member to which it is attached to drop on that side. Machine stability may be affected if this occurs. New bolts, spacers, washers and nuts need to be installed on the products listed below. The service will be done at no cost to you. Contact your local Caterpillar dealer immediately and schedule a time to have this service performed. The repair time for this service is approximately five hours. We regret the inconvenience this may cause you, but urge you to have this service performed for your added safety and satisfaction.
