There are two types of solenoid operated shut-off valves used on machines fitted with the E.C. Option. With the introduction of the latest (131-3078) Valve, there was also a change to use Direct Acting Line Relief Valves (6E6281) in the Swing section of the Backhoe Valve. It is essential that the 131-3078 Shut-off Valve is only used on machines fitted with 2 of 6E6281 Valves in the swing section.This information may not yet be shown in the Parts Books or Service data.Solution:
For machines with the old type 120-0591 Shut-off Valve, 428B (7EJ04254 to 8652) and 438B (3KK01614 to 3634) and machines without a Shut-off Valve: service the Relief Valves in the swing section with 6E6286, as shown in the Parts Book.For machines fitted with the new 131-3078 Shut-off Valve, 428B (7EJ08653 & up) and 438B (3KK03635 & up): service the Relief Valves in the swing section with 6E6281 Relief Valve.
