Information:

problems are often caused by open or shorted wires.Open circuit - An electrical circuit failure that results in no current flow. An open circuit can be caused by failed wires or poor connections. Note: Resistance in a normally closed circuit will be < 5 Ω.TEST FOR A OPEN CIRCUIT
Identify the connectors and wire numbers of the suspect circuit.
Turn the keyswitch and the disconnect switch off.
Disconnect the component and the electronic control module (ECM) from the harness.
At one of the disconnected harness connections, place a jumper wire from the contact of the suspect wire to frame ground.
At the other harness connector, use multimeter probes to measure the resistance from the contact of the suspect wire to frame ground. If the resistance is < 5 Ω, the circuit is OK.If the resistance is ≥ 5.0 Ω, the circuit is open. Repair or replace the harness.Reference: The machine Electrical Schematic
