Remove 14 bolts (42) and the washers in order to remove bottom left guard assembly (43).

Remove bottom left shield assembly (44) and bottom right shield assembly (45).
Remove Tooling (B).

Remove 17 bolts (48) in order to remove middle right guard assembly (49).

Remove 17 bolts (50) in order to remove middle left guard assembly (51).

Loosen hose clamp (53) in order to remove hose assembly (52).

Remove two bolts (54) and the washers from the top of right guard assembly (55). Install Tool (B) in place of the bolts. Tool (B) is used in order to support guard (55) and the shield assembly after the bolts have been removed.
Remove 20 bolts (54) in order to remove top right guard assembly (55).

Loosen hose clamp (57) in order to remove hose assembly (56).

Remove two bolts (58) and the washers from the top of left guard assembly (59). Install Tool (B) in place of the bolts. Tool (B) is used in order to support guard (59) and the shield assembly after the bolts have been removed.
Remove 14 bolts (58) in order to remove top left guard assembly (59).

Remove top left shield assembly (60) and top right shield assembly (61).
Remove Tooling (B).

Attach a suitable lifting device to support assembly (62), as shown. Secure a suitable hoist to the lifting device. The approximate combined weight of support assembly (62) and fan spider assembly (64) is 513 kg (1131 lb).
Remove eight bolts (63) and the washers in order to remove support assembly (62) and fan spider assembly (64).

Attach a suitable lifting device to Tooling (A).
Position Tooling (A) so that the bolt holes that are located in support assembly (62) align with the mounting holes that are located in Tooling (A).
Use four bolts (63) and the washers in order to attach support assembly (62) to Tooling (A) (not shown).
Remove the lifting device that is attached to support assembly (62).

Attach a suitable lifting device to fan spider assembly (64), as shown. The approximate weight of fan spider assembly (64) is 240 kg (529 lb).
Remove eight bolts (65) and the hard washers in order to remove fan spider assembly (64).

Use two bolts (65) as pusher bolts in order to remove fan spider assembly (64) from fan adapter (66).
Fan spider (64) should be laid flat or fan spider (64) should be suspended at the hub bore. This prohibits the deformation of the fan blades. Note: Improper handling or damage to the fan spider may affect the balance of the fan. This may result in a catastrophic failure during operation.
