Move the dozer blade control to the LOWER position and lower blade (1) to the ground until front idlers (2) are off the ground.
Lower the engine speed to LOW IDLE.
Stop the engine and exit the machine.

Measure the length of exposed rod (3) of the tilt cylinder. Record the length on the troubleshooting worksheet. Refer to Specifications, Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, "Worksheet - Troubleshoot".
Wait for five minutes and measure the length of the exposed rod again. Record the length on the troubleshooting worksheet.
Subtract the value that was obtained in Step 11 from the value that was obtained in Step 12. Tilt cylinder drift should not exceed 33.0 mm (1.30 inch) after the five minutes.If the tilt cylinder drift is greater than the specification, check the following items:
The makeup valves in the control valve
The condition of the valve spool in the control valve
The piston seals in the cylinders
