Place the track under the machine. Lower the side of the machine onto the track.
Remove a carrier bolt. Install Tooling (A) to the final drive carrier. Attach a chain to Tooling (A). Attach the chain to the track. Align the chain with the top of the carrier roller and the idler. Rotate the final drive in the reverse direction. The final drive will pull the track onto the final drive. Remove the bolt from the carrier and remove the chain.

Note the direction of the track.
Lift the end of the track and place Tooling (B) under the track.
Turn the final drive in the reverse direction to pull the track together.Note: Make sure that the serrations on the master links are clean and dry.

Align the lower ends of the master links with the upper ends. Make sure that the serrations of both ends are engaged.

Place the master shoe in position on the master links. Apply Tooling (C) to the threads and to the shaft of the master link bolts. Tighten the four bolts to a torque of 400 70 N m (300 50 lb ft). Then, tighten the bolts by an additional turn of 120 5 degrees.

Tighten relief valve (2) and tighten track adjustment valve (3) to a torque of 35 7 N m (26 5 lb ft).Reference: When you adjust the tension of the track, refer to the procedure in Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7299, "Track - Check/Adjust".

Install track adjuster cover (1) to the track roller frame.
