Use Tooling (L) in order to secure the O-ring seals onto rotor (23). Install rotor (23), carrier (22), bolts (21), ring seal (20) and the O-ring seals.
Lubricate ring seal (20) lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.

Lubricate the bore for speed sensors (19) lightly with lubricant that is being sealed. Install the O-ring seals, speed sensors (19), and bolts (18).

Install orifice (17).
Install O-ring seal (15) and plug (16). Tighten plug (16) to a torque of 55 10 N m (41 7 lb ft).

Use Tooling (L) in order to retain O-ring seal (13) onto the cover. Use Tooling (D) in order to install lip seal (14). Install lip seal (14) even with the cover. Lubricate the sealing lip of lip seal (14) lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.

Position cover (12) and install bolts (10).

Orientation of the cable assemblies
Note: Terminal blocks (6) and cable assemblies (7) must be free of debris and oil prior to assembly. Use a cleaning solution of 90% isopropanol alcohol and 10% water to clean electrical connectors.Note: Only use the proper nuts and the proper washer.Note: A minimum clearance of 10 mm (0.4 inch) is required between each cable assemblies (7) and the housing.
Position terminal blocks (6).
Connect cable assemblies (7).
Make sure that the rotor assembly spins freely.

Install cover (2) and the O-ring seal.
Install plug (3). Tighten plug (3) to a torque of 55 10 N m (41 7 lb ft).

Remove plug (16) and attach Tooling (N). Apply 103 kPa (15 psi) of air pressure for 15 minutes. Ensure that the pressure does not drop from 103 kPa (15 psi). Install plug (16) to a torque of 55 10 N m (41 7 lb ft).Note: The following procedure checks the generator assembly for leaks.
Install Tooling (S), cover (49), and the O-ring seal.
Remove plug (48) and attach Tooling (N). Apply 34 kPa (5 psi) of air pressure for 15 minutes. Ensure that the pressure does not drop from 34 kPa (5 psi). Install the plug and the O-ring seal for port (43). Tighten plug (48) to a torque of 55 10 N m (41 7 lb ft).
Remove Tooling (S), cover (49), and the O-ring seal.

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to generator (1). The approximate weight of generator (1) is 590 kg (1300 lb). Position generator (1) onto Tooling (B). Secure generator (1) to Tooling (B).End By:
Install the generator. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Generator - Install".
