Remove hose (1) from the outlet of the breather (2) on each side of the engine.Note: Perform steps 2 through 8 on each crankcase breather.
Remove clamp (3) at the base of the breather (not shown). Remove the breather from the engine.
Remove the elbow attached to the valve cover (not shown). Check the condition of the seal. Replace the seal if the seal is damaged.
Remove the breather element. Wash the breather element and the breather in a clean nonflammable solvent.
Shake the breather element until the breather element is dry. You may also use pressure air to dry the breather element.
Check the condition of the hose. Replace the hose if the hose is damaged.
Install the element into the breather and install the breather.
Install the hose onto the outlet of the breather cover and tighten the clamp.
