When received in the command center, the mayday displays as an "Urgent Alarm" pop-up message on every software client session that is running at the time of the event. On-Road Hazard ButtonProximity Awareness on-board provides a method to allow vehicle operators to mark the location of on road hazards that are encountered while in transit. When road hazards are marked, the Cat MineStar System can use the hazard information so AMTs can avoid the hazard.This information explains how to mark a location of a road hazard using Proximity Awareness equipped vehicles.
Communicate to the Cat MineStar System controller the type and location of the hazard.
Push the "On-Road Hazard" button from the list.A pop-up window will appear with a list of hazard types.

Select the hazard type from the list and press "OK" to confirm.Depending on the type and size of the hazard, survey data may be needed to identify the hazard boundaries and to create a polygon around the hazard. For more information, refer to "Collect and Send Position Data" in this document.

The plan view window now displays a small box located at the machine origin. Using the on screen repositioning arrows (19), the location of this box can be shifted to better represent the location of the hazard. The shape and size of the box can be adjusted by the controller in the command center.
Press the green check confirm button (16) to create the polygon. Press the red "X" cancel button (17) to cancel.The undo button (18) can be used to undo one movement at a time.Once confirmed, the hazard way point information is sent to the command center. The command center then confirms the location and makes required adjustments to size or shape. At that point, the controller will apply the changes in Site Editor and the hazard information will be sent out as a map update to the all machines.Collect and Send Position Data

To begin the data collection process, press the data collection button.Note: The recorded data correlates to the corner of the machine body polygon selected. The location of the corners are defined in MineStar by the machine body polygon and may not match the physical corner locations as it is generally configured to be slightly larger than the vehicles true dimensions'.
