1. Disconnect fuel lines (2) and (3). Remove tube assembly (1). 2. Remove bolt (5) that holds the bracket and fuel filter housing in place. Disconnect tube assembly (4) from the fuel filter housing. 3. Remove three bolts (7) that hold the fuel filter housing to the brackets on the oil filter housing. Use two persons and remove fuel filter housing (6). The weight is 50 lb. (23 kg).Install Fuel Filter Housing
1. Put fuel filter housing (1) in position on the brackets of the oil filter housing. Install three of the bolts that hold the fuel filter housing in place. Do not install the left rear bolt at this time.2. Put the gasket in place and install tube assembly (2) to the oil filter housing. Put bracket (3) in place and install the left rear bolt that holds the fuel filter housing and bracket in place. 3. Install tube assembly (4). Connect fuel lines (5) and (6).Disassemble Fuel Filter Housing
start by:a) remove fuel filter housing1. Remove the fuel priming pump. See REMOVE AND INSTALL FUEL PRIMING PUMP. 2. Remove tube assemblies (1) from the pressure control valve. 3. Remove pressure control valve (2) from the fuel filter housing.
Cover (3) holds a spring under compression.
4. Remove cover (3), spring and valve from the pressure control valve body. 5. Remove cover (4) from the fuel filter housing. Remove the cover from the other end of the fuel filter housing. 6. Remove filter elements (5) from the fuel filter housing.Assemble Fuel Filter Housing
1. Make sure all the parts of the fuel filter are clean. Inspect all parts for damage and make replacements if needed. 2. Install filter elements (1) in the fuel filter housing.3. Put the gaskets in place and install covers (2) on each end of the fuel filter housing. 4. Install valve (3), spring (4), gasket, cover (5) and bolts (6) for the pressure control valve. 5. Put the gasket in place and install pressure control valve (7) on the fuel filter housing. 6. Install tube assemblies (8) to the pressure control valve.7. Install the fuel priming pump.
