Installation Procedure

Apply 1U-6396 O-Ring Assembly Compound to O-ring seal (4). Install O-ring (4) .
Apply 1U-8846 Sealant (6) to the face of the cylinder block. Refer to Illustration 1.

Torque sequence
Make sure that dowels (3) are installed in the rear of the cylinder block. Position the flywheel housing on dowels (2) on the rear of the cylinder block. Install twelve bolts (1) and the washers. Use the torque sequence that is shown in Illustration 3 to tighten bolts (1) .End By:a. - Install the crankshaft rear seal. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Crankshaft Rear Seal - Install".b. - Install the flywheel. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, " Flywheel - Install".
