Removal Procedure
Hot engine components can cause injury from burns. Before performing maintenance on the engine, allow the engine and the components to cool.
Open the hood.
Turn the disconnect switch to the OFF position.

Remove bolts (2) and guard (3). If necessary, remove bracket (1).

Remove the rubber boot, the nut, and disconnect harness assembly (4). Disconnect harness assembly (5).

Loosen bolt (6) and bolt (9) and remove V-belt (7).
Remove bolt (6) and the washer, bolt (9) and the washer, and alternator (8). Installation Procedure

Install alternator (8). Install the washer and bolt (9) loosely. Install the washer and bolt (6) loosely.
Install V-belt (7) and adjust V-belt (7) to the proper tension. Tighten bolt (7) and bolt (9). Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual for the correct adjustment procedure.

Connect harness assembly (5). Connect harness assembly (4) and install the rubber boot.

If necessary install bracket (1)
Install guard (3) and bolts (2).
Turn the disconnect switch to the ON position.
Close the hood.
