The Special Instruction, REHS0932, "Procedure to Rework the Margin Relief Valve Return Lines" is now available. The changes to the return lines that are described in the special instruction are effective with 5130B (S/N: 4CS185) Excavator. These changes can be retrofitted to all earlier 5130B Excavators. The special instruction provides a parts list, instructions, and procedures that are needed in order to modify the return lines for the margin relief valve. The changes will reduce the pressure surges in the return lines that were resulting in failures of the hydraulic oil cooler.The special instruction is available through the normal literature distribution system.
