Removal Procedure
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the removal procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.

Start the engine. Position the ejector blade halfway along the truck body. Ensure that there is adequate space for access to the ejector rollers. Refer to Illustration 1. Turn off the engine and turn the disconnect switch to the OFF position.

Loosen nut (2) on bolt (1) in order to turn bolt (1). Repeat Step 2 for bolt (1) on the opposite side of the ejector blade.
Turn bolts (1) on both sides of the ejector blade equally until ejector rollers (3) are not in contact with the truck body. Use a feeler gauge in order to verify that ejector rollers (3) on both sides of the ejector blade are not in contact with the truck body.

Remove bolts (4). Repeat Step 4 for the opposite side of the ejector blade. Remove shims (5) and note the position of the shims for installation purposes.

Carefully pull the assembly of ejector rollers (3) and reaction plate (7) away from the ejector blade. Remove shims (6) and note the position of the shims for installation purposes.
Use a suitable lifting device in order to remove the assembly of ejector rollers (3) and reaction plate (7) from the machine. The weight of the assembly is approximately 90 kg (200 lb).

Remove bolts (9) and remove adapter plate (8) from both ends of reaction plate (7).

Remove bolts (10) from both ends of reaction plate (7).

Remove block (11) and remove ejector rollers (3) from both ends of reaction plate (7). The weight of one ejector roller (3) is approximately 27 kg (60 lb).
