Removal Procedure
Personal injury can result from contact with refrigerant.Contact with refrigerant can cause frost bite. Keep face and hands away to help prevent injury.Protective goggles must always be worn when refrigerant lines are opened, even if the gauges indicate the system is empty of refrigerant.Always use precaution when a fitting is removed. Slowly loosen the fitting. If the system is still under pressure, release it slowly in a well ventilated area.Personal injury or death can result from inhaling refrigerant through a lit cigarette.Inhaling air conditioner refrigerant gas through a lit cigarette or other smoking method or inhaling fumes released from a flame contacting air conditioner refrigerant gas, can cause bodily harm or death.Do not smoke when servicing air conditioners or wherever refrigerant gas may be present.Use a certified recovery and recycling cart to properly remove the refrigerant from the air conditioning system.
Recover the air conditioner refrigerant.
Disconnect the hose assemblies from the air conditioner compressor.
Disconnect the harness assemblies from the alternator.

Remove bolts (1).

Remove belt (2).
Attach a suitable lifting device to fan drive mounting group (4). The weight of fan drive mounting group (4) is approximately 45 kg (100 lb).
Remove bolts (3) and nuts (5).
Remove fan drive mounting group (4). Installation Procedure

Install the idler pulley assemblies if the idler pulley assemblies were removed. Tighten the bolts for the idler pulley assemblies to a torque of 50 5 N m (37 4 lb ft).
Attach a suitable lifting device to fan drive mounting group (4). The weight of fan drive mounting group (4) is approximately 45 kg (100 lb). Position fan drive mounting group (4) on the engine.
Install bolts (3) and nuts (5).
Install belt (2).

Install bolts (1).
Connect the harness assemblies to the alternator.
Connect the hose assemblies to the air conditioner compressor.

Recharge the air conditioner refrigerant.
