EYE BOLT 1P7406 - Caterpillar

Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the assembly procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Install aftercooler assembly (20) to radiator assembly (19). Install oil cooler assembly (21) to radiator assembly (19) .

Install plate assemblies (18) on core assembly (16) .

Use Tooling (C), Tooling (B), and a suitable lifting device to position core assemblies (16). The weight of core assemblies (16) is approximately 116 kg (255 lb). Install bolts (17) .

Use Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to position cooling system package (8) on the machine. The weight of cooling system package (8) is approximately 369 kg (814 lb).

Install bolts (13). Repeat Step 7 for the other side of the machine.

Install bolt (12). Connect hose (11) .

Connect hose assemblies (10). Install bolts (9) .

Connect hose (7) and tighten clamp (6) to a torque of 7.5 1 N m (66.4 9 lb in).

Connect hose assemblies (5) and (4) .

Connect hose assembly (3). Connect hose (2). Connect cap assembly (1) .
Fill the cooling system. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Capacities (Refill)" for the capacity of the cooling system. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Extended Life Coolant - Change".
Fill the hydraulic tank. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Capacities (Refill)" for the capacity of the hydraulic tank. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System Oil - Change" for the correct filling procedure.End By:
Install the engine side guards. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Side Guards - Remove and Install".
Remove the hood. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hood - Remove and Install".
Remove the front bottom guard. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Bottom Guard - Install".
