637D, 639D ScrapersDescription of Change: A new tension rod is used in the push frame assembly of 631D, 637D and 639D Scrapers. The new rod has an improved design, including rolled threads, to increase the strength of the rod for longer service life. Two rods are used across the push frame of the scraper to hold tension against the sides and make the frame more rigid.Adaptable As: The new 1U3655 Rod is a direct replacement for the former 9J1368 Rod, which is canceled. Special Instruction Form SMHS7550-01 gives complete information for removal of the former rod and installation of the new rod. Two rods are used per machine. The new rods are in effect on 637D Scrapers with Serial Numbers 20W485, 21W464, 22W996 and 23W964. Serial Numbers for other 631D, 637D, and 639D Scrapers are not yet available.
