Be alert while loading the machine.You must react instantly to depress one of the machine/engine remote stop switches to avoid a runaway machine.Personal injury or death could result from a runaway machine.Brace yourself for a quick stop anytime one of the machine/engine remote stop switches is depressed with the machine moving.Personal injury or death could result from a sudden stop of the machine.
Note: Before transporting the machine, let the conveyor run for a short time to ensure that all debris is unloaded. Debris that falls from the conveyor when the machine is being moved is dangerous to traffic.Note: After the machine is loaded, the mirrors should be folded if transport width restrictions exist. Be sure to set the mirrors back before moving or operating the machine.Investigate the travel route for overpass clearances. Make sure that there is adequate clearance for the machine that is being transported.Remove ice, snow, or other slippery material from the loading dock and from the truck bed before you load the machine onto the transport machine. Removing ice, snow, or other slippery material will help to prevent the machine from slipping in transit.Note: Obey all laws that govern the characteristics of a load (height, weight, width, and length). Observe all regulations that govern wide loads.When you move the machine to a colder climate, make sure that the cooling system has the proper antifreeze.Make sure that all water is drained from the water spray system tank, all water pumps, and water filters. Ensure that no water is left in the water spray system and the high-pressure water spray system.

Illustration 2 g03429854Load the machine onto the trailer as shown in the illustration.Lower the canopy (If Equipped). Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Operator Controls" for information on the canopy raising/lowering controls.
Illustration 3 g06024292When you have loaded the machine onto a trailer, secure the machine to the trailer platform by attaching shackles to the tie down points. Secure the machine to the front and rear of the trailer.Note: Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Lifting and Tying Down the Machine" for additional information on tying down the machine and securing the conveyor for transportation.Using chains or cables of suitable strength, secure the machine to the trailer, low-loader, wagon, or other transport means to prevent the machine from moving during transportation. Wheel chocks should also be used.Place a length of wood under the rotor to prevent the cutting bits from damaging the trailer surface or damaging the carbide tips on the cutting bits.Conveyor Lock/Unlock (If Equipped)

Illustration 5 g03834299If the transport trailer is equipped with a suitable conveyor holder that requires the conveyor to swing freely, use the conveyor lock knob to unlock the conveyor.Turn the knob counterclockwise to unlock the knob. Pull out the knob to unlock the conveyor.Note: All hydraulic functions are disabled when the conveyor is unlocked.
