There have been a number of isolated instances of issues with 316-0413 Turbocharger As and 315-9810 Turbocharger Gp. Soot contamination of lubrication oil exceeds Caterpillar guidelines. The increased soot contamination of the lubrication oil results in increased wear of turbocharger components.Oil grade and quality are vitally important to the life and serviceability of all engine components. Refer to the relevant Operation and Maintenance Manual for the correct maintenance interval and recommended lubricating oil.If these requirements are not met a shorter oil change interval may be required.
