Removal Procedure
Personal injury can result from contact with refrigerant.Contact with refrigerant can cause frost bite. Keep face and hands away to help prevent injury.Protective goggles must always be worn when refrigerant lines are opened, even if the gauges indicate the system is empty of refrigerant.Always use precaution when a fitting is removed. Slowly loosen the fitting. If the system is still under pressure, release it slowly in a well ventilated area.Personal injury or death can result from inhaling refrigerant through a lit cigarette.Inhaling air conditioner refrigerant gas through a lit cigarette or other smoking method or inhaling fumes released from a flame contacting air conditioner refrigerant gas, can cause bodily harm or death.Do not smoke when servicing air conditioners or wherever refrigerant gas may be present.Use a certified recovery and recycling cart to properly remove the refrigerant from the air conditioning system.
Refer to Service Manual, SENR5664, "Air Conditioning and Heating Systems with R-134a Refrigerant" for the correct recovery and charging procedures. Refer to Special Publication, NEDG2500, "Air Conditioning Tools" for the correct tools.

Loosen clamp (2) and remove precleaner assembly (1).
Remove bolts (3) and cover assembly (4).

Disconnect harness assembly (5).

Disconnect hose assemblies (8) and (9).
Disconnect all clamps (10) from refrigerant condenser assembly (7).
Remove bolts (6) and refrigerant condenser assembly (7).

Remove support assembly (11).
Remove refrigerant condenser assembly (7) from support assembly (12).

Remove bolts (15). Separate fan assembly (13) from refrigerant condenser (14). Installation Procedure
Install refrigerant condenser (14) in the reverse order of removal.
Tighten the bolts for hose assemblies (8) and (9) to a torque of 10 2 N m (89 18 lb in). Note: Position the blow out slit of precleaner assembly (1) towards the outside of the machine.
Tighten clamp (2) to a torque of 17 3 N m (150 27 lb in).
