Using The Operator Monitor to Determine Diagnostic Trouble Codes
The following illustration depicts the default screen of the operator monitor for the 313F L GC machines.

The left half of the operator monitor default display provides clock display, current power mode, work tool setting, and throttle speed dial position. The right side of the display includes three electronic gages - coolant temperature, hydraulic oil temperature, and fuel level.Note: The function of the buttons along the bottom of the screen are defined by the symbol displayed on the screen above each button.

The "DIAGNOSTIC" menu option is entered by selecting "SERVICE" from the "MAIN" menu. (The far left menu key always serves as the menu key.) Press the UP key or DOWN key until "DIAGNOSTICS" is highlighted to select the diagnostics option. Then press the "OK" key.

Illustration of Machine Password Entry screen The next screen will prompt the service technician to enter the Machine User password to access the service menu before proceeding. The password can be entered using the monitor screen or the switch panel keypad (to the right of the operator). See illustration below:

After the password is recognized, the following options are presented:
ACTIVE DIAGNOSTIC CODES
LOGGED DIAGNOSTIC CODES
ACTIVE EVENT CODES
LOGGED EVENT CODESThe "LOGGED DIAGNOSTIC CODES" menu displays active errors in the CID - FMI format. Press the UP key or DOWN key to scroll through the logged diagnostic codes. Press the "OK" key to see the list of logged diagnostic codes. Move the cursor to highlight the desired diagnostic code. Press the "OK" key to show the detail of the logged diagnostic code. The detail of a logged code will display the following items:MODULE ID - Control module ID of the ECM that detected the error.COMPONENT ID - Component ID that is in error status.FAILURE MODE ID - Failure mode IDOCCURANCE - The number of times the error occurred.FIRST - The first time the error
