Steps 1 and 2 are for industrial engines only. 1. Remove bolts (1) that hold carrier (2) in place.2. Install two 5/8"-11 NC forcing screws in holes (3). Remove carrier (2) from the flywheel. 3. Install tooling (A) on the flywheel and fasten a hoist to tooling (A).4. Remove bolts (5) that hold flywheel (4) in place.5. Remove the flywheel. The weight of the flywheel is 285 lb (129 kg).Install Flywheel
1. Install tooling (A) on the flywheel and fasten a hoist to tooling (A). 2. Put the flywheel in position with the use of a pry bar (2). Make an alignment of the dowel in the crankshaft with the hole in flywheel (1).3. Install the bolts that hold the flywheel in place. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 640 80 lb.ft. (875 100 N m). Steps 4 and 5 are for industrial engines only. 4. Put carrier (3) in position and install the bolts.5. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 265 35 lb.ft. (360 50 N m).
