Move the machine to a hard level surface that is away from operating machines and away from personnel.
Lower the work tool to the ground.
Engage the parking brake. Place wheel blocks in front of the wheels and behind the wheels.
Install the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Remove and Install".
Stop the engine.
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.

Drill two holes (1) 8.5 mm (0.335 inch).
Tap two holes (1) M10 x 1.5.Disassembly Procedure

Remove and discard item (1) .
Remove and retain 10 bolts (2) and 10 hard washers (3) .
Remove and discard item (4) and item (5) .Assembly Procedure

Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of item (1). Install item (1) through item (5) to cover assembly (6) .

Install item (16) .
Install the assembly to the fuel tank using the bolts and washers retained in Step 2 of the Disassembly Procedure.
Install item (15) .
Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of item (7), item (11) and item (12). Install item (7) through item (14) .
Remove the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Remove and Install".
