--------------- END SUPPLEMENT ---------------Description of Change: New tube assemblies increase the reliability of the torque converter cooler lines group.Adaptable To: The new 169-7078 and 169-7079 Tube Assemblies replace the former 5V-4680 Tube Assembly (not canceled). The new line change is effective with the machines listed in Table 1 and adaptable to first production for the machines listed by following the installation procedure. Installation Procedure
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the machine. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.
Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide", for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids in Caterpillar machines.
Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Illustration 2.2. Install 169-7078 Tube Assembly (9) with one 1P-3705 Seal (10) and four 7X-0311 Bolts (8).3. Remove the existing bolt from the torque converter housing. Install 169-7077 Bracket (13) with one 7X-0589 Washer (14) and one 8T-8916 Bolt (15).4. Clamp 169-7078 Tube Assembly (9) onto 169-7077 Bracket (13) with one 5P-8444 Grommet (5), one 5P-7468 Clip (6), one 5P-7469 Clip (7), two 8T-4223 Washers (2), one 8T-4183 Bolt (3) and one 8T-4244 Nut (4).5. Connect 169-7079 Tube Assembly (11) to 169-7078 Tube Assembly (9) with one 5K-0309 Hose (16) and two 8T-6703 Hose Clamps (17).6. Attach the end of 169-7079 Tube Assembly (11) to the port hole with one 1P-3709 Seal (12) and four existing 7X-0328 Bolts.
