Loading
1. Position the machine in the loading area in the straight ahead position and as level as possible. This reduces the effort required to pull away, prevents tire damage and reduces the possibility of spillage onto the tractor section of the machine. 2. Stop the machine with the service brake pedal and engage the parking brake. 3. Move the direction selector lever to NEUTRAL (N). 4. Stay in the cab while the machine is being loaded. Make sure that the operator of the loading machine loads the body evenly. Uneven distribution of the load will cause uneven and excessive tire and axle loading. Do not exceed the machines rated capacity. 5. When the machine is loaded move the transmission controls to the desired speed and direction, disengage the parking brake and drive the machine slowly away. 6. Drive slowly for a few seconds to allow the machine suspension to self level before accelerating away. Leave the loading area with care.7. Drive the machine to the dump area making proper use of gears, brakes, retarder and differential lock. See the section "Machine Operation".Dumping
1. Before dumping make sure the area is clear of personnel and obstructions. If a spotter is present, follow the spotter's directions. 2. Position the machine straight for dumping. Do not get too close to the edge of cliffs, excavations and overhangs. 3. Stop the machine with the service brake pedal and engage the parking brake. 4. Move the direction selector lever to NEUTRAL (N). 5. The machine must be stationary with the parking brake engaged and the transmission in neutral before the body is raised. Move the body hoist control to RAISE and increase the engine speed to high idle.
Reduce the engine speed as the body approaches its limit of travel. Machine damage can result if the hoist cylinders repeatedly hit their stops at high speed.
6. Move the body hoist control to HOLD. 7. When the load is dumped, move the transmission controls to first gear forward, disengage the parking brake and drive the machine slowly clear. 8. Stop the machine with the service brake pedal, engage the parking brake and shift to neutral. 9. Move the body hoist control to LOWER. 10. When the body is almost down, move the body hoist lever to FLOAT. 11. When the body is resting on the frame, engage first gear, disengage the parking brake and drive the machine away. Drive slowly for a few seconds to allow the machine suspension to self level before accelerating away. Leave the dump area with care. Be alert for other vehicles, obstacles and personnel.12. Drive the machine back to the load area making proper use of gears, brakes, retarder and differential lock. See the section "Machine Operation".
