Identify the color of each wire on the machine harness with the location of the pin on the machine harness.
Remove the wires that are connected to the old connector on the machine harness.
Cut off the sockets at the base of the sockets in order to minimize the loss of wire length.
Install new 8T-8730 Connector Sockets on the wires of the machine harness.
Install the wires into the new 230-5008 Connector Plug Assembly .Note: The old connector is a 3-pin connector. The new 230-5008 Connector Plug Assembly is a 4-pin connector. Refer to Table 2 for the application of connections.

Insert a 8T-8737 Seal Plug into the fourth position of the 230-5008 Connector Plug Assembly .
Complete the installation of the new 288-8390 Temperature Sensor. This installation will include the replacement of the 3J-1907 O-Ring Seal .
Verify that the 288-8390 Temperature Sensor functions properly.
