1. Loosen clamp bolt2. Turn adjusting nut to desired position.3. Tighten clamp bolt. Rollers are adjusted when ejector operates without binding or rubbing bowl. Repeat procedure for opposite side.(47)Cutting Edges
1. Raise and block bowl. Stop engine.2. Remove bolts.3. Remove section and clean contact surfaces.4. Use opposite edge if not worn. If both edges are worn change section.5. 1. Lower bowl and stop engine.2. Relieve hydraulic pressure by moving controls with engine stopped.3. Remove bolts holding gland to cylinder head.4. Pry or lightly tap gland to remove.5. Cut and remove one shim.6. Assemble and test cylinder for leaking.7. If still leaking remove one more shim. Do not remove more than two shims.8. Assemble and test for leaking.9. Top shaft must remain parallel with the bottom shaft.1. If adjustment is necessary, park the tractor-scraper on a flat level surface, turn the elevator until a flight is at its closest position relative to the cutting edge.2. Loosen clamping nuts on each of the three bearing hangers.3. Turn adjusting nut on each of the lower bearing adjustment bars to align the flight with the cutting edge.4. Measure the distance between the lower shaft at the left bearing carrier and upper shaft at a point closest to the speed reducer.5. Adjust upper right bearing hanger until the distance between the shafts is the same on the right side as the left.6. Operate elevator several revolutions. Stop the elevator and inspect the chains to assure that they are centered on the sprockets and idlers. If not readjust.
