Refer to the information in the following article.The release of VIMSTM Supervisor (January 2010) is an update to the previous Windows-based version of VIMS Supervisor (September 2001). This update may serve as a new installation of the VIMS Supervisor application. This release of VIMS Supervisor is required in order to view data from VIMSpc master database version 9.0.6.This version update enhances the trend data to be model independent. Being model independent removes the dependency on frequent database updates for new machine and model information. This version update also upgrades VIMS Supervisor to be congenial with the MicrosoftTM Access 2000 database. This enhancement addressed the issue of VIMSpc2006A database migrating from Microsoft Access 97 to Microsoft Access 2000. VIMS Supervisor uses the same database as VIMSpc. If VIMS Supervisor cannot connect to the Microsoft Access 2000 database, the user will see a "Database Error" message stating, "VIMS Database not found. Please locate the VIMS Database". Microsoft Access 2000 runtime engine was integrated into VIMS Supervisor to address this problem.This version of VIMS Supervisor is designed to run a minimum of Microsoft Access 2000. A Microsoft Access 2000 runtime engine will install if the pc has Microsoft Access 97 installed. The Microsoft Access 2000 runtime engine will prevent a startup error caused when accessing the VIMSpc master database version 9.0.6. This error is prevented by extending the table length for events.
