Installation Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

If studs (5) were removed from the exhaust manifold, apply 5P-3931 Anti-Seize Compound to the exhaust manifold side of the studs. Install studs (5) into the exhaust manifold. Install new gasket (9) for turbocharger (12) .
Install turbocharger (12) onto the engine. Install four nuts (17) that hold turbocharger (12) onto the exhaust manifold. Tighten the four nuts to a torque of 44 N m (33 lb ft).
Lubricate the bearing housing of the turbocharger with clean engine oil.
Install new gasket (18). Install bolts (21) onto flanges (18) of oil drain line. Install the oil drain line onto the turbocharger. Ensure that the bolts for the flanges are tightened at the turbocharger and at the cylinder block. Do not connect the hoses for the oil drain line.
If adapter (7) was removed, apply 154-9731 Thread Lock Compound to the threads. Install adapter (7). Install oil supply line (3) to turbocharger (12). Insert the bolt for bracket (20). Ensure that the clip for oil supply line (3) is also inserted. Install nut (2) .
Install hose clamps (8) and hose (6) for the elbow for air inlet heater (4) .
Install studs (15) into turbocharger (12). Install new gasket (13) and install exhaust elbow (14) onto the turbocharger.
Install bolts (23) onto the flange of exhaust elbow (14). Install new gasket (11) before installing the exhaust piping. Install nuts (10) onto bolts (23) and tighten.

Install turbocharger cover (1) onto the turbocharger. Note: Ensure that the actuator rod for the waste gate is free to move before tightening the straps of the turbocharger cover.Note: The turbocharger cover is constructed of fiberglass. Wear a mask when the turbocharger cover is installed.
Install the hose for the air cleaner.
Operate the engine. Ensure that there is a flow of lubricating oil from the oil drain line. Connect the hoses for the oil drain line and tighten the hose clamps.
