G3616 (4CG) EnginesDescription of Change: New aftercooler groups are available for use on these engines. These new groups include new larger (deeper) core assemblies. The larger core assemblies will help lower the inlet manifold air temperatures. This will help prevent detonation.Adaptable To: The new 159-1527 Aftercooler Group replaces the former 105-3178 Aftercooler Group on G3612 (1YG) Engines. The new 159-1528 Aftercooler Group replaces the former 115-7563 Aftercooler Group on G3616 (4CG) Engines. The only difference between the new and former aftercooler groups is the core assemblies. In the new 159-1527 Aftercooler Group, the new 152-1503 Core Assembly is used instead of the 122-2704 Core Assembly in the former group. In the new 159-1528 Aftercooler Group, the new 152-1504 Core Assembly is used instead of 122-2705 Core Assembly in the former group. Two core assemblies are used in each group.
