FENDER GROUP 8J3035 - Caterpillar

1. Put wood blocks in front of and behind the rear tires of the machine. 2. Raise the front of the machine until the front tires are just off the floor. If the machine is equipped with a stabilizer group, put Tooling (A) in position under the stabilizer frame as shown to hold the machine up. If the machine is not equipped with a stabilizer group, install Tooling (E) under the main frame, directly behind the front tires as shown. 3. Remove eight lug nuts (1) and the lockwashers that hold the front tire and rim assemblies in position. Do not remove top and bottom lug nuts (1) at this time. 4. Install Tool (B) on two of the wheel lugs in the positions shown. Remove two remaining lug nuts (1) at this time. 5. Fasten a lifting sling and a hoist to tire ring (2) used between the inner and outer tire and rim assemblies. Put slight lifting tension on the tire ring.6. Put the forks of a lift truck in position under outer tire and rim assembly (3) as shown. Fasten the outer tire and rim assembly
