Existing filter group with bracket
Remove the existing oil filter, oil filter base, mounting bracket, and switch assembly. Retain the mounting hardware and bracket for the filter group. Also, retain the SOS tap assembly. Refer to Illustration 1 and 2. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, RENR5287 for removal procedure.

Assemble and torque 6V-9875 Connector (1) to 354-3328 Filter Base As (2) with one 2S-4078 O-Ring Seal (3) and one 5K-9090 O-Ring Seal (4). Install the SOS tap retained from the existing oil filter group. Install and torque 8T-8987 Elbow (5) with an 2S-4078 O-Ring Seal (3) and 5K-9090 O-Ring Seal (4). Position 8T-8987 Elbow (3) as shown in Illustration 3.
Install 349-6097 Pressure Switch (6) to 354-3328 Filter Base As (2) and tighten.

Improved filter group in place
Install the bracket, however do not tighten bolts and hose couplings. The loose fittings make the four retained filter mount bolts easier to install. Refer to Illustration 4 and 5.

Torque 354-3104 Filter Housing As (7) to 40 N m (29.5 lb ft). Refer to Illustration 7.
