Drain diesel exhaust fluid into suitable container for storage or disposal.

Remove cover (1) .

Disconnect harness assembly (2). Disconnect hoses (3) and (4) .

Note: Do not attempt to pry or pull the tabs out of the connections on hose assemblies as damage will occur. Push down on the fitting and push the tabs inward before pulling up in order to disconnect hose assemblies.
Disconnect hose assembly (5). Remove cable straps (6) and reposition harness assembly (7) .

Remove bolts (14) and (15). Remove diesel exhaust fluid pump assembly (16) .

Remove cover (20) .
Remove expansion device (22) and filter (21) .

Remove fittings (23) and (24) from diesel exhaust fluid pump (17) .Installation Procedure
Install diesel exhaust fluid pump (17) in the reverse order of removal.
Tighten cover (20) to a torque of 20 5 N m (177 44 lb in).
Tighten bolts (18) and (19) to a torque of 19 2 N m (168 18 lb in).
Apply Tooling (A) to the O-ring seals (not shown) inside hose assembly (5) .
Apply Tooling (A) to the O-ring seals (not shown) inside hose assemblies (8) .
Apply Tooling (A) to the O-ring seals (not shown) inside hose assembly (9) .
Apply Tooling (A) to the O-ring seals (not shown) inside hose assembly (10) .
