(1) Plug (2) Stud102-9460 Plug is for the 3056 Machine Engine.101-2987 Plug is for the 3054 Machine Engine.Use plug (1) when any of the front threaded mounting holes is not being used to mount the engine. Plug (1) is used in place of stud (2) or a bolt. The threaded hole is drilled into the crankcase of the engine. Plug (1) is supplied with an anaerobic sealant. The anaerobic sealant is already applied to the threads from the factory. For any reason that plug (1) is removed, all of the dirt and all of the oil in the threaded hole into the block must be cleaned before reinstalling the plug. In order to reuse plug (1), clean the old sealant from plug (1) and apply 4C-9507 Retaining Compound to the threads.
