Do not crank the engine for more than 30 seconds. If the engine does not start, allow the starter to cool for two minutes before cranking again. The engine start switch must be turned to the OFF position before trying to restart.

Move propel control (4) to the NEUTRAL position.
Push parking brake knob (5) .
Move throttle control (1) to the HIGH RPM position.
Turn key (3) to the ON position.
Push the switch for the glow plug (2) for 20 seconds in order to heat the glow plugs.Note: If the engine is already warm from previous operation, the glow plugs do not need to be heated.
Crank the engine by turning key (3) to the START position. When the engine starts, release the key. Leave throttle control (1) in the HIGH RPM position until the engine is running smoothly. Move throttle control (1) to the LOW RPM position after the engine is running smoothly in order to allow the engine and the machine to warm-up properly.Note: Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Engine and Machine Warm-Up" for further information.
