Description of Change: A new piston and rod group has been released in order to improve service life. The new piston and rod group was put in production on 27August 2002.Adaptable To: A new 192-8808 Piston and Rod Gp has been released. The 192-8808 Piston and Rod Gp is serviceable at the part level.The original 173-0139 Piston and Rod Gp is still serviceable at the part level.Note: The weight of the new piston and rod group has changed from the original piston and rod group. An engine must contain all of the same type of piston and rod groups in all twelve cylinders. Do not mix the 192-8808 Piston and Rod Gp with the 173-0139 Piston and Rod Gp .Note: Do not use the new intermediate rings, oil rings, piston cooling jets, or piston pins with the original piston and rod group. Do not use the original intermediate rings, oil rings, piston cooling jets, or piston pins with the new piston and rod group.The 0R-7858 Cylinder Pack Gp contains the new piston and rod gp for this update. Refer to Table 1 for the correct part numbers.
