A 1U-6396 O-Ring Assembly Compound 1 Note: Check the O-ring seals, the gaskets, and the seals for wear or for damage. Replace the components, if necessary. Use Tooling (A) during the assembly procedure.

Install O-ring seal (7) on gear pump (6).
Illustration 2 g00719361Note: Make sure that the ports on the auxiliary pump are in the correct location.
Install gear pump (6).
Install bolts (5).

Install O-ring seals on fittings (4) and (3).
Install fittings (4) and (3) in the gear pump.

Connect hose assemblies (2) and (1) to the gear pump.
Close the right rear access door.
When the main hydraulic pump has been serviced or the hydraulic oil has been replaced, the air in the hydraulic system must be purged. Do not start the engine until the main hydraulic pump has been filled with oil.Operating the hydraulic pump without proper lubrication will damage the pump and other hydraulic components.
Check the hydraulic system oil level. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Lubricant Viscosities" for the correct oil viscosity. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System Oil Level - Check" for the correct filling procedure.
Install high efficiency filters in place of the pilot filter, the case drain filter, and the return filter. Note: High efficiency filters should not be run for more than 250 hours before you change back to the standard filters.
