Note: For a Before Failure repair of the spring pin, 10.0 hours is allowed per swing drive.
Note: For an After Failure repair of the spring pin, a total of 23.0 hours is allowed for repair per swing drive.

Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
Rework Procedure
REWORK PROCEDURE: 329E and 330F Swing Drive ? Spring Pin Failure
Preparation for Inspection:
1. Drain the oil of the swing drive.
2. Remove the hoses from the swing motor.
3. Remove the swing motor from the swing drive. Refer to KENR9844, Disassembly and Assembly, for instructions.
4. Remove the cover and the gear ring of the swing drive in order to gain access to both carrier planets. Refer to Image1.1.1.
(Only for inspection, the swing drive doesn't need to be removed from the upper frame)

5. Check if one or several shafts of the first and second carriers of gears are felt down due to spring pin being broken. In general, only the spring pins of second carrier could be broken. Refer to Image1.3.1.

BEFORE FAILURE - REWORK PROCEDURE A: - IF ALL SPRING PINS ARE NOT BROKEN
(For rework procedure A, the swing drive doesn't need to be removed from the upper frame)
All seven 095-0891 Spring Pins of the first and second carriers will need to be removed and replace by new dual spring pins. The gear ring will need to be removed before removal of the second carrier from swing drive.
