* Both the On-The-Go and Stationary calibrations must be performed after installation. MACHINE MUST REMAIN STATIONARY DURING ALL CALIBRATION PROCEDURES. Perform daily until you are sure of system, then as needed.Calibration can be performed in any order. The following order of calibration is suggested.1. Empty Bucket On-The-Go.2. Empty Bucket Stationary.3. Full Bucket On-The-Go.4. Full Bucket Stationary. Calibration requires the use of a known weight. ( 10% of rated load).Following are three ways to obtain a known weight in the bucket.1. Solid calibration weight. Fabricate a concrete or steel tube of the specified diameter for the given model and fill with concrete. The following illustration and chart give the dimensions needed to fabricate the tube.
Refer to Calibration Pipe Weights Chart for dimensions.
(A) Diameter. (B) Length. 2. Bucket load of material, weighed in the loader bucket on truck scales.3. Bucket load of material, weighed using an empty truck with a known tare weight. An empty truck can be used to obtain the weight if the loader cannot fit on the scale. Wait for the scalehouse to return a weight and match the display to that weight. Do not move lift arms until after weight adjustment and switch is returned to the NORMAL position. Another source of weight can be used, but should be 10% of bucket rated load and of a shape that can be loaded with the center of gravity in the center of the bucket, (approximately a bucket load of material).Ride Control
Units equipped with ride control should calibrate the PMS in the same mode as you will use the ride control.* If you operate with the ride control ON: Calibrate and weigh with the ride control ON.* If you operate with the ride control OFF: Calibrate and weigh with the ride control OFF. Inaccurate readings may take place if the above instructions are not followed.
