(1) Steering hydraulic tank filter
(2) Case drain screenSteering hydraulic tank filter (1) is inside the steering hydraulic tank. This filter screens hydraulic steering oil of debris as oil returns back to the tank for the steering system. Steering hydraulic tank filter (1) does have a bypass valve built into the filter in case the filter becomes clogged with debris. Pressure inside the filter will unseat the check valve in the bypass and allow system oil to flow around the filter.Note: Regular maintenance of this filter prevents debris from entering critical components of the steering system.Case Drain Screen (Steering)
The case drain screen is mounted to the right upper platform behind the steering hydraulic oil tank.Steering pump drain oil flows through the case drain screen (2). The screen stops debris from the pump case from entering the hydraulic tank. The return oil from the screen has a separate tank connection from the steering return filter.
