Support three guards (3). One guard weighs approximately 45 kg (99 lb). Remove nuts (1), spacers, and the bolts (2) .

Oil pan assembly
Hot oil and components can cause personal injury.Do not allow hot oil or components to contact the skin.Be sure that the engine and components are cool enough to touch with your bare hand prior to performing any service work.
Remove plug (4). Drain the engine oil. The capacity of the engine oil system is approximately 291 L (77 US gal).
Remove plug (5). Drain the remaining engine oil from the rear oil pan.

Remove bolts (6) and bolts (7) from front oil pan (8) and the engine.
Remove tube (9) from front oil pan (8) and the engine.

Remove bolts (10) from front oil pan (8) .

Remove tube (11) from front oil pan (8) .
Support front oil pan (8). Front oil pan (8) weighs approximately 65 kg (143 lb). Remove bolts (12) and washers.
Failure to follow the recommended procedure or the specified tooling that is required for the procedure could result in damage to components.To avoid component damage, follow the recommended procedure using the recommended tools.
Note: When the gasket is removed, make either a diagonal cut or a cut in the shape of a V in order to create a good seam. This is for installation purposes.
Slide front oil pan (8) forward by approximately 13 mm (0.5 inch) in order to clear the dowels. Remove front oil pan (8) and the gasket from the engine.Installation Procedure

Note: Make a matching cut between the new gasket and the existing gasket in order to create a good seam. Use a suitable sealant in order to improve the effectiveness of the seam of the gasket.Note: Apply Tooling (A) to the contact point of the front housing. Position a new gasket on the engine block. Apply Tooling (A) to each gasket joint.
Support front oil pan (8). The front oil pan weighs approximately 65 kg (143 lb).
Install a gasket and front oil pan (8) on the engine. Slide the front oil pan backward by approximately 13 mm (0.5 inch).
Install bolts (12) .
Install tube (11) on front oil pan (8) .

Install tube (9) on front oil pan (8) and the engine.
Install bolts (7) and bolts (6) on front oil pan (8) and the engine.
