Turn the fuel supply to the OFF position and turn the power disconnect switch to the OFF.

Disconnect harness assemblies (1). Disconnect hose assemblies (2) and the adapters from both filter base (4) and filter base (3).
Use Tooling (A) to remove filters (5).
Remove filter bases (4) and (3).

Remove plugs (6) and stud (7) from filter base (3).

Remove pre-filter pressure sensor (8) and the adapter from filter base (4). Remove post-filter pressure sensor (10), and temperature sensor (9) from filter base (4).
Remove studs (11). Installation Procedure
Check the O-ring seals, the gaskets, and the seals for wear or for damage. Replace the components, if necessary.
Install fuel filters (5) and fuel filter bases (3) and (4) in the reverse order of removal.

Typical Example
Apply Tooling (B) to the threads of studs (11) and (7). Tooling (B) should cover the threads of the stud, shown as Distance (X), which is a measurement of 7.6 0.8 mm (0.30 0.03 inch). Tighten studs (8) to a torque of 70 15 N m (52 11 lb ft).
Tighten temperature sensor (9) to a torque of 20 3 N m (177 27 lb in).
Tighten post-filter pressure sensor (10) to a torque of 10 2 N m (89 18 lb in).
Tighten pre-filter pressure sensor (8) to a torque of 10 2 N m (89 18 lb in).
Lubricate the fuel filter seals with the fluid that is being sealed prior to installation. Use Tooling (A) in order to tighten the fuel filters (5) to a torque of 35 3 N m (26 2 lb ft).
