Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

This view is taken from the underside of the machine.
Use Tooling (A) to raise piston motor (5) into position on the underside of the machine.
Install the two top bolts (not shown) in order to secure piston motor (5). Remove Tooling (A) .
Install bottom bolts (4) .

Connect harness assembly (2). Install cable strap (3) .

This view is taken from above the piston motor.
Connect six hose assemblies (1) to the piston motor.
Fill the hydraulic tank. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System Oil - Change".End By: Install the drive shaft. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Drive Shaft - Remove and Install".
