- 15 1A-2029 Bolt Use the following procedure in order to tighten the bolts:
1. Tighten five bolts (12) to standard torque.
2. Tighten bolt (1) through bolt (10) in a numerical sequence that is shown in Illustration 1 to standard torque.
11 - - Before assembly, apply red Loctite 596, Permatex No. 2 or red Loctite High Tack GS S to the joints of the gasket.
13 - - Before assembly, lightly lubricate the bore for the O-ring seals with the lubricant that is being sealed or an approved equivalent.
14 - - Before assembly, apply red Loctite 596, Permatex No. 2 or red Loctite High Tack GS S on connecting joint of the flywheel housing (19) and the rear of cylinder block, and connecting joint of the front accessory drive housing (18) and the front of cylinder block.
15 38 5P-5855 Bolt Apply green Loctite 290 to the open top end of the bolt holes after assembly of the oil pan.
16 1 7E-2630 Oil Pan Gasket Before assembly, apply red Loctite 596, Permatex No. 2 or red Loctite High Tack GS S to the sealing surface.
17 1 142-4159 Integral Seal Before assembly, apply red Loctite 596, Permatex No. 2 or red Loctite High Tack GS S to the sealing surface.
20 1 4B-2363 Oil Drain Plug Torque to 145 15 N m (107 11 lb ft).
21 1 6I-0723 Oil Drain Plug Before assembly, lightly lubricate the threads with the lubricant that is being sealed or an approved equivalent.
Torque to 55 7 N m (41 5 lb ft).
